My Journey

So if you know me or just stumbled upon this blog...Welcome. I really want to try and get my thoughts and writings of what has been happening down. I am 26 and married to Andrew. He and I have known one another for almost 6 years now.(and married for 2 1/2 years) We were actually married in the Catholic Church at my college. At the time we thought thats what we wanted. But as we continued with church and did not quite feel at home. We moved into my papa's home that I have always loved back in September. Andrew came with the big moving truck on a monday and I had no idea what friends could drop everything and help us unload a truck. So my papa urged us to call the local Missionaries and ask for help. So with some reluctance we did....and the rest was almost history!

We soon were having weekly lessons, and dinners. The two Elders who first started this journey with us were Elder Kelly and Elder Jones. Later Elder Jones had to move to a different area to serve and Elder Fierros joined us. I was asked to join the church and be baptized. I was baptized November 23.....so just a few days ago. And what an experience. You have to be fully immersed in the water and then we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit the next day with a special blessing. We were lucky to be able to share this day with the Pate family and Felicia and Sean and their two girls. Andrew had his parents and Oma there as well.  The speeches and testimony were outstanding. The book of Mormon has truly changed my life and help me grow.

What has helped shape your testimony?
